Therapy

I genuinely believe that everyone can benefit from therapy, so long as you find the therapist that is the right for you. I am a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, which means I work with the connections between our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Our thoughts influence our emotions, which impact our behaviors or reactions. It has been proven that if we alter the way we think about things, we can subsequently change the way we feel and behave.

A common misconception of therapy is that we give advice or tell you what to do. A therapist does not give advice. Instead, we learn about you and teach you tools that you can apply to the issues you face. In other words, we don’t give you the fish. We teach you how to fish. Sessions with me may feel like a combination of venting and learning tools that you can apply to situations you face in real life.

Note: I am currently at full capacity and have a waitlist for new clients.
